About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an over 2000 year old world-renowned therapy which focuses on re-aligning the body’s imbalances with needles, pressure and heat. Disease (dis-ease) is believed to be the cause of these imbalances.

Acupuncture's Benefits

Acupuncture treats the root causes rather than the symptoms of:
  • acute and chronic pain
  • arthritis
  • headaches
  • cold and flu symptoms
  • chronic lung conditions
  • insomnia
  • allergies
  • infertility
  • menstrual problems
  • menopausal issues
and many more conditions as documented by the World Health Organisation.

Gail Kirner has extensive experience in the areas of Women’s health incorporating:

  • infertility
  • IVF support
  • menstrual problems
  • preconception care
  • pregnancy support
    • fluid retention
    • labour preparation
    • induction treatments
    • turning breech babies and
    • post-natal recovery
  • menopausal symptoms
    • hot flushes
    • sleep disturbance
    • irritability
    • night sweats
    • lower back pain
  • emotional problems
    • anxiety
    • depression
    • stress
  • fatigue
Due to Gail’s experience in this area, she was the preferred Acupuncturist referred to by Jason Jackson ND, who is one of Australia’s leading Naturopath experts in reproductive health and fertility, and author of the book ‘Making Babies’.

Non-invasive Acupuncture

Gail also offers this treatment style at Enta and it is a wonderful treatment option for clients who have a ‘fear of needles’ or children. In these treatments some of the tools that can be used, but can vary according to what condition is being treated, are moxibustion (a heating herb) press balls, aromatherapy oils, and a Chinese spoon. Another gentle technique incorporating rubbing, tapping and pressing methods onto the skin, with a specialised Japanese Acupuncture tool, may also be used to stimulate acupoints and meridian/acupuncture pathways.
