How long are Reiki/Crystal Healing appointments?

Most appointments are for 1 or 2 hours, but can be longer if required. 1 hour is the minimum time for a healing treatment.

How many appointments do I need?

That depends on what the treatments are for. For a boost in energy and release of stress, a 1 hour appointment would be suitable. Usually clients like to come for a few sessions over the year for general well-being.

For treatment of a particular condition or problem, several sessions may be required, such as once a week for 1 month or longer depending on how long you have had the condition and how severe it is. How you respond to the first session will give me a good idea of how many treatments you will require and how often, and together we will decide on a treatment plan.

How are Reiki/Crystal Healing Sessions conducted?

At the beginning of the consultation we will discuss what you would like to get out of the healing. This helps me to direct my approach specifically for your needs. We will discuss any relevant medical conditions and any symptoms or emotional issues you would like help with. We will then proceed to the healing. This involves lying on your back on a comfortable treatment table.

You should wear whatever clothes you are comfortable in (shoes off for the treatment). I will cover you with a sheet or blanket if it is cool. If you are uncomfortable lying flat, the table can be adjusted to suit you. I play relaxing music and cover your eyes with a lavender eye pillow to help you to relax. During Reiki I will place my hands onto your body to send energy, and in a Crystal Healing, crystals are placed onto and around your body.

Is there anything in particular I should do after a healing?

• Drink plenty of water. This helps with clearing on physical and energetic levels.
• Pay attention to your body and provide it what it wants/needs. Breathing deeply can help you to be more aware and "present" in your body
• Take any time you need for reflection. Healings can assist you with clarity on situations in your life. It is good to take the opportunity to reflect or journal at this time.
• Spending time in nature relaxing/meditating or exercising will enhance energy flow.

Do you provide medical consultations?

No. I do not provide medical consultations. Any medical questions that you have should be directed to your GP or Specialist. Please do not make any changes to your medication or other treatments without consulting your Doctor.
