About Healing Views

Healing ViewsMaria is a qualified homoeopath. She studied at the Melbourne College of Natural Medicine and the Australasian College of Hahnemanian Homoeopathy.

Born and raised in The Netherlands, Maria started her nursing career in 1976. After 2 degrees in nursing (Psychiatric and Mentally disabled) Maria worked for 10 years as a counseller in the leading alcohol and drug detox-rehabilitation centre where she did individual and group counselling.

After 10 years of this work and completing her degree in social psychiatric studies she took on a position with the Information and Prevention department advising the local and federal government on alcohol and drug policies.

After migrating to Australia in 1991 and working as a psychiatric nurse using the allopathic approach, Maria was frustrated that the patients' illnesses and symptoms were being suppressed rather than cured.

Homoeopathy treats you as a whole person rather than just treating the disease. This seemed like the ideal method of treatment to Maria so she took a 4 year course in homoeopathy and has been a qualified homoeopath and been practising as such since 1998.

Homoeopathy

Constitutional Prescribing:

Constitutional Prescribing is used to treat you as a whole person. Rather than just "a discomfort" it looks at where the discomfort originates and what makes you vulnerable to this type of problem. Used to treat an ongoing problem.

Acute Prescribing:

Acute prescribing is used when there is an acute situation such as flu, the common cold, hayfever, etc. Used to treat a once off problem

First Aid Kit:

A First Aid Kit consists of remedies to be used in an acute situation such as accidents, onset of a cold, constipation, travel, etc.

Labour Kit:

A Labour Kit is available for a small fee. This kit contains remedies specifically for the late stages of pregnancy and child birth.

Homoeoprophylaxis (an alternative to vaccinations):

Some people do not feel comfortable with the vaccination program provided by the government. For those people there is a natural, safe alternative in homoeoprophylaxis. This method is suitable for use on newborns to the elderly. A kit can be made to suit your specific Homoeoprophylaxis requirements.

Homoeopathy can be used to fix most illnesses, discomforts and physical aches and pains providing there are no structural problems causing the problem.
