Welcome to IAAMA


The International Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine Association is the leading independent, not-for-profit, professional association dedicated to support aromatherapy practitioners in Australia and overseas. The Association supports the development of Aromatic Therapy and ensures that high standards of education and practice are maintained by IAAMA accredited practitioners. IAAMA is also actively involved in furthering the public's perception and knowledge of therapeutic aromatherapy and its safe and effective application in everyday life.

All Accredited Professional IAAMA members are bound to a high standard of ethical and professional conduct through adherence to practitioner accreditation standards, Code of Ethics and Code of Practice. Membership with the International Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine Association lets you become part of a growing international organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Aromatic Therapy in natural medicine practice.

Memberships


In joining IAAMA you are associating with a world recognised professional body dedicated to the advancement of Aromatic Therapy. IAAMA represents the professional interests of Accredited Practitioners of Aromatherapy, supporters of Aromatic Therapy and students striving to achieve professional status. IAAMA is dedicated to the achievement of the highest level of training and professionalism and the promotion of Aromatic Therapy as a natural healing modality.

Most Accredited Professional IAAMA members have joined the Association for recognition by their peers and the public of their qualifications and professional standing. IAAMA offers opportunities for all members to network amongst its membership through regular regional and annual meetings, e-newsletter, Facebook page and ongoing education support.

The levels of Membership are:

  • Accredited Professional Members - Accredited Advanced Diploma or Diploma

  • Professional Member - Non-Accredited Training

  • Teacher Member - Teacher in Accredited RTO

  • Associate Members - Friends & Supporters of Aromatic Therapy

  • Students - Student of Aromatic Therapy



E-Newsletter


The e-newsletter - Aroma RapidNews - is sent whenever there is relevant information to share. RapidNews can include informative articles, case studies, upcoming events, reports from council, book reviews, competitions and much more. Articles are designed to inform and educate aromatherapists as well as people generally interested in aromatherapy.
