RM uses a variety of massage techniques to help bring you back to a better state of health and well being. Remedial Massage, Sports Massage and Trigger Point Therapy aid by heating the muscles and tendons that are damaged, impaired or knotted using specialised techniques to support and speed up the body's own repair systems. By relaxing the muscles, whose strength may be inhibited by trigger points, RM aids in structurally realigning the body allowing greater range of motion and freedom.
Relaxation/Swedish massage is a soothing and healing massage employing lighter strokes to help ease tight or tired muscles, decrease stress/anxiety and induce deep relaxation improving mood and a sense of well being.
Reflexology is a foot massage which stimulates pressure points relating to different areas of the body.
In most cases Jennifer uses a combination of the above massage techniques.
Pregnancy Massage (Pre-Natal) is also available.
Massage can provide relief and be helpful for:
- Headaches and Migraines.
- Back neck and shoulder tightness
- Lower back pain
- Overuse injuries Eg wrist arm and shoulder tightness and fatigue from computer work or Shoulder Injuries such as 'frozen shoulder'.
- Muscular sprains.
- Aches and pains felt during pregnancy
OVERALL BENEFITS OF MASSAGE
The benefits of massage are numerous; it has been shown that massage can:
- Relieve muscular tension and relax muscles
- Decrease the duration of stiff or tight muscles after heavy exercise or gym workouts and in general help reduce muscular soreness and fatigue
- Decrease heart rate and blood pressure
- Help support the immune system
- Promote skin elasticity and tone and also help reduce scar tissue
- Decrease levels of stress and anxiety and can help improve mood
- Improve sleep patterns
"Frozen shoulder seems to have no definite cause and no guaranteed successful treatment; I had Physiotherapy, used analgesics and self-administered heat treatment for nearly two years with minimal improvement in mobility or pain relief.
Four sessions of remedial massage from Jennifer were enough to provide both long term pain relief and a return to the level of shoulder mobility and usability I had enjoyed before... Brilliant!"
- Mrs A, north shore.

"I have suffered from chronic pelvic pain for over five years. It has had a profound impact on my, and my family's life. I ended up at St Vincents Sydney pain clinic two years ago prescribed large amounts of painkilling drugs. I was told by all the specialists this was something I would have to manage and live with. Seven months ago I attended a pelvic pain clinic in San Francisco which uses myofascular massage, stretching and meditation to treat pelvic pain. When I returned to Sydney I knew I had to find a professional to help me with the trigger point work.
I was so very lucky to find Jenny. She has been an important piece of my recovery protocol set for me in the US. I am nearly off my medications, back at work and feel I am going to be free of the pain permanently. She is professional, patient, listens and skilled in the trigger point massage. She has been an integral part of my recovery in treating the psoas, adductors and gluts that needed so much work and were referring pain to my bladder."
Ms S, eastern suburbs.
"I recently pulled a muscle in my lower back whilst training at the gym. I had hoped it would clear up by itself but after 3 days the pain was only getting worse so I decide to call Jenny. Not only was she was able to see me the next day, after two massage sessions that week, I was pain free and able to return to my regular gym and yoga training. Thank you for getting my back "back" in action so quick!"
Mr D, inner west.
