Lifeboat is not your typical counselling service. The old medical model focused on pathology (such as mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment). The new wellness model focuses more on holistic health (physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing), life skills and supportive communities. Lifeboat Workshops aim to take your adventure to the next level. We offer 6 workshops to update your life skills and learn more about yourself and others.
Soul Food Café is a wild journey of discovery where holistic health is always on the table! Join one of our groups or courses as we embark on the search for meaning.
Dr Paul Whetham is a clinical psychologist who has over 25 years' experience in mental health. He is passionate about neuroplasticity and creating novel enriched environments where we thrive through dialogue and discovery.
Previously Director of the Masters in Counselling program at the University of South Australia, he did his PhD research on the burnout and loneliness of church leaders. He also has co-written Year 11 and 12 Psychology textbooks for South Australian and International secondary schools.

Soul Food Cafe is an informal sacred space where people meet regularly to do life together. It is a safe space to get real with yourself, God and others, sharing real life stories and the search for meaning. It is a sacred space because everyone is encouraged to receive, share and give.
