TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE (TCM)

Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient system of natural medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. This wholistic approach to health focuses on personalised treatment for the individual rather than general treatment for specific conditions. The aim is to treat the person; mind, body and spirit as one.

Chinese Medicine works to restore one's natural state of equilibrium and health through the application of acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion and dietary therapy.

Doctors of Chinese Medicine in Australia are required to be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Melanie is registered with AHPRA and is member of Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA).

DR. MELANIE BHSC (CHINESE MED)

Melanie Milne is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) based in Melbourne CBD.

Dr Melanie (CM) believes in the transformative power of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) having experienced it first-hand. The profound sense of clarity and calm experienced during her very first TCM treatment sparked a desire for more knowledge and compelled Melanie to begin study of the art of Chinese Medicine.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) from The Southern School of Natural Medicine (SSNT) Dr. Melanie works with her clients to nurture their health and wellness.

Melanie has a particular interest in the role of emotion in disease pathogenesis according to TCM theory. She believes that addressing the emotional roots of physical disharmony is beneficial for long-term healing. Dr. Melanie has experience working with individuals and couples suffering mental health disorders (anxiety, depression, stress), dermatological conditions, fertility and physical pain manifestations.

Driven by her love of TCM and thirst for knowledge Melanie continues to develop her skillset with ongoing study of holistic health focusing on anxiety and depression, cosmetic acupuncture, dermatological conditions and crainosacral therapy.
