What does treatment involve?
A consultation and treatment lasts ½ hour to 1 hour. Treatment and education may include, acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, lifestyle advice, diet therapy, breathing and exercise techniques.
How many treatments are needed?
The number of treatments you will require depends on the type and length of illness, age and constitution.
Initial treatment often brings immediate relief however a course of treatment is required for optimal recovery.
Acupuncture involves inserting very fine sterile needles into the skin at specific acu-points on the body for about 15-20 mins. The aim is to stimulate and or restore the flow of Qi to the selected area, relieving pain and promoting internal function and balance. It is effective for many common ailments. REBOX electrotherapy unit is used in rehabilitation, sports medicine and in pain relief. The effect is local tissue detoxification, muscle relaxation, increased blood circulation, tissue healing and pain relief.
