WHAT IS MYOTHERAPY

Myotherapy involves the specialised application of a range of modalities to effectively assess, treat, prevent and manage conditions that cause injury, muscular dysfunction and pain.

What to expect on your first visit:

An initial Myotherapy consultation involves the patient undertaking a health history assessment followed by a palpatory assessment of the presenting injury. Within the initial consultation the Myotherapist may see fit to subject the patient to skeletal and postural assessment, range of movement testing, joint mobility, orthopaedic testing and muscular strength testing.

All initial consulatations are booked as an hour session.

Specialised techniques we use:

  • Dry Needling

  • Joint Mobilisations

  • Corrective exercises and rehabilitative exercises

  • Physical assessments

  • Orthopaedic testing for specific injuries

  • Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulations (T.E.N.S)
