Principal Myotherapist: Sop Neung
Sop completed an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at Victoria University. He also has a degree in Exercise Science, so he’s well qualified to ensure you get the best possible outcome. He’s worked in a range of private practice settings, treating everyone from Athletes to the general population and tailoring treatments for a variety of injuries and concerns.
Sop has always been passionate about sports and movement. He competed in Taekwondo at the national level, plays basketball and is a keen powerlifter. He uses his knowledge of movement and biomechanics to effectively diagnose, rehabilitate and treat his clients. Sop is dedicated to helping his clients overcome musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction and get them moving as their body was designed to. He performs a broad range of myotherapy, remedial, sports and therapeutic massage techniques along with cupping and dry needling as required. Sop’s positive and engaging personality allows him to easily connect and encourage his clients. Sop is also a bit of a jokester, so feel free to ask him for his best joke.
WHAT IS MYOTHERAPY
Myotherapy involves the specialised application of a range of modalities to effectively assess, treat, prevent and manage conditions that cause injury, muscular dysfunction and pain.
What to expect on your first visit:
An initial Myotherapy consultation involves the patient undertaking a health history assessment followed by a palpatory assessment of the presenting injury. Within the initial consultation the Myotherapist may see fit to subject the patient to skeletal and postural assessment, range of movement testing, joint mobility, orthopaedic testing and muscular strength testing.
All initial consulatations are booked as an hour session.
