Welcome to Niya Holistic Therapies

We are energetic beings as much as we are physical and emotional beings. We have energy centres and pathways that run through our body and an energy field that surrounds our body. This energetic system is deeply connected to our physiological and psychological body’s. Energy and health cannot be separated.

At Niya Holistic Therapies I focus on a person as a whole and with the awareness that an individual needs to heal on all levels to achieve greater overall wellbeing. I blend traditional counselling techniques and alternative health practices such as energy healing, reiki, colour therapy, crystal healing, breath work and meditation to empower, heal and guide an individual to be the best version of themselves that they can.



Holistic Counselling

My holistic approach to counselling, blending traditional counselling techniques and complementary therapies, recognises that our mind, body and spirit are interconnected and that an individual must heal on all levels to achieve optimal health and wellbeing. The holistic counselling process allows the individual to become aware of the underlying cause of their physical or emotional condition. The person is then assisted and guided through the healing process to resolve this underlying issue and the associated conditions.

Complementary Therapies

I am trained in the following therapies that I use both alongside the counselling process and as treatments on their own: energy healing, crystal healing, colour therapy, breath work, reiki and meditation. 

Colour Therapy

Colour therapy uses colours of the light spectrum to balance and enhance the body’s energy pathways and chakras. This in turn stimulates and assists the healing process with both physical and emotional issues. Colour therapy is a holistic and non-invasive therapy. Simply raising our awareness of the energy of colours can transform our lives.

Crystal Healing

Crystal healing is a powerful and non-invasive therapy which allows positive, healing energy to flow into the body while drawing out any negative energy. I use gemstones teamed with energy healing to promote healing in the body, thanks to the vibrational energy that comes from the crystals.

A crystal healing treatment will leave you feeling relaxed, balanced and with a renewed feeling of wellbeing. Crystal therapy is perfect for restoring vitality and balancing our mind, body and spirit. Teamed with a guided meditation or a reiki treatment, crystal therapy is the perfect way to reconnect and bring yourself back into rhythm with your life’s natural path.

Breath Work

I use gentle breathing exercises and techniques drawn from practices such as tai chi and yoga. Focusing on our breathing allows us to be mindful of the present moment and creates greater self-awareness. Breathing techniques can be of great benefit to those experiencing issues such as anxiety, chronic pain, anger, stress, depression and grief.

Energy Healing

Trauma, emotional and mental stress, false belief systems, physical distress, environment stress and other blocks to our personal growth can be stored in the energy fields of our bodies, impacting our ability to function at our full potential.

Energy healing facilitates the healing process by clearing blocks in the energy fields, repairing and rebalancing the energy so that the body can function at its optimal level of balance from where it is able to access its inherent ability to heal itself.

Reiki

Awaken your heart, mind and body through the ancient healing art of reiki. This healing technique is used to channel energy, clear stagnant energy and blockages in our energy system and increase the energy vibration of our body. Our physical and emotional bodies will naturally follow this energy shift, activating the healing process and facilitating restoration to our physical and emotional wellbeing.

Meditation

Meditation is used to calm and focus the mind. This healing technique allows us to create a greater sense of peace, balance and focus in our daily lives. Through the art of meditation, each of us has with the power to awaken our spiritual potential and find lasting joy and contentment.
