Being the daughter of a former Essendon AFL player saw me grow up in an almost Sport only household. When I entered into both the Professional and Amateur running league at 16 then suffered shin splints and hamstring troubles, I was forced to quickly learn the tricks of staying injury free in order to achieve my goals. Fortunately for me my dad had his own clinic as a therapist. He knew better than anyone the benefits of massage not only for exercise recovery but for those enduring intense training loads in order to fulfill a desire to be apart of the elite world of sports.
As a current sprint coach with Athletics Australia, former dual athlete of the year in both NSW and VIC, Olympic and Commonwealth games trials, Australian Grand Prix competitor and Womens Stawell Gift winner. I have founded Noosa Sports Massage to specialize in recovery. "Recovery", for a broad range of people, from exercise beginners to high performance athletes and of course anyone in between. Using a mixture of massage techniques from deep tissue, trigger points, myofacial release, localized heat and gentle stretching all form the term, "Sports Massage".
The clinic is currently located at Noosa Springs in the Pilates cottage just off the main car park. Treatments are available across 7 days by appointment only.
I am originally from the Ukraine with extensive training in Krav Maga, a military self-defence and fighting system developed for the Defense and Security Forces. Krav Maga derived from a combination of techniques sourced from Aikido, Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, and Karate. This experience has given me the ability to focus on real-world situations extreme efficiency.
In 2013, I studied Hatha Yoga, which consist of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques and Antigravity Aerial Yoga, combining traditional yoga poses, Pilates, and dance with the use of a hammock. With my strong passion and interest in the human body and knowing the pain that comes from hard training, I escalated my career and received a Diploma of Remedial Massage. I am fully qualified in Neuromuscular Therapy Techniques, Myofascial releases, Mobilisations, Trigger point Therapy, and Muscle Energy Techniques.
I love working with people and by combining my Krav Maga training and Yoga background with my skills as a Remedial Therapist my goal is to treat people so they can not only have relief from pain, but put you on a path to reach your potential. I want to share my knowledge and experience with you and put on the path to recovery and maintain wellness.
