Our main aim in providing this service is to support your personal circumstances wherever possible by providing flexible hours, a flexible venue and a flexible therapeutic approach. We are aware of and understand the need for privacy, location constraints or time issues and as such, we want to ensure your counselling takes place in a safe, comfortable and open environment supported through your individual circumstances. Nyernda offers a highly personalised approach to all individuals in order to address the issues of concern in the most appropriate manner. By dedicating services that are tailored to your unique circumstances, in a manner that is consistent with your abilities, beliefs system, cultural practices and objectives, Nyernda can help you work towards realising your goals.

Traditionally, face to face counselling has proven to be the most effective form of counselling, but if this is something you currently don't feel comfortable with we also offer the following:

Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling and Psychotherapy are umbrella terms that over a wide range of talking therapies. Counsellors and Psychotherapists are both trained practitioners that work together with their clients over a short or long term, to help them bring about effective change and assist them through difficult life circumstances. They work to utilise an interpersonal relationship to enable people to develop self understanding, to gain insight, to become aware of choices they did not initially recognise, to find more effective ways of relating, and to develop personal resources and healthy resilience making positive changes in their lives as a result.

Along with the traditional individual sessions, we also provide support for couples, parents and teenagers, families and groups.
