*NEW EXPLORING MEDITATION (6-week beginners course) STARTS 10th Sept (Brighton) and 12th Sept (Black Rock) ~ PLACES STILL AVAILABLE*
Quiet Mind Meditation was established in 2009 and provides meditation instruction through group classes, private consultation, corporate programs, CD’s, newsletters and an active online blog.
Meditation is the ancient and time-tested practice of "stilling the mind". We allow the body to achieve a deep state of relaxation, the mind to find a point of inner stillness, and the senses to remin alert and focused.
Meditation assists us to relax, self manage stress, improve health, develop greater focus and awareness, inspire creative thinking and cope with the constantly changing demands of life .. and for thousands of years people have been meditating across the world.
Quiet Mind Meditation began with the belief that meditation is a life skill that everyone should learn.
In our classes we aim to explore some of the principal concepts that apply to all meditation, the ‘how’ and the ‘why’, and also introduce a variety of different relaxation and meditation techniques (both classical and modern) so that participants can find the best technique for their unique lifestyle.
We share the ‘art and science’ of meditation.
Our teaching style is relaxed, practical and free of religious dogma .. a straightforward approach that aims to make meditation accessible and enjoyable.
Classes are designed to allow for instruction, practice and discussion - and a few laughs along the way, and we learn meditation sitting in chairs, although participants are encouraged to bring a meditation cushion/mat if they prefer to be seated on the floor.
EXPLORING MEDITATION PROGRAM
(x6 weeks: one night per week)
Our Exploring Meditation program is designed for those new to meditation, or those seeking to refresh their practice. We explore a number of simple and widely practiced meditation techniques and meditation exercises – so you find the best practice for you!
This is a straightforward, practical and non-religious approach to meditation ~ which is also great fun! Meeting regularly once a week for six weeks provides us with an opportunity to get ‘into the flow’ of meditation, and gain an insight to the benefits found in a regular meditation practice.
We provide handouts each week also, so that you can build your own Meditation Workbook. In the Exploring Meditation Program we explore:

Brighton Yoga School
