Zen Ki Yoga - like nothing you've ever done before...

Zen Ki Yoga is a Japanese form of yoga based on shiatsu, focusing on aligning and supporting your body with the changes of the season.

It strengthens your body internally, corrects imbalances and weaknesses and addresses specific areas for weight loss by accessing your 12 major meridians.

Meridians are invisible lines of energy you can actually feel in your arms, legs, torso and head. Each meridian relates to a different organ, season, taste, emotion and psychological state.

Zen Ki Yoga is more than just yoga because...
  • There are no routines! Our bodies change with the season – so should our yoga, eating and living habits. If you do the same thing all the time, you end up with one result.
  • Working with the principles of Chinese/Japanese medicine means you get quicker results.
  • You will learn how your body works, how it changes with the seasons and the little things you can do to support these changes.
  • You will learn how different foods affect you physically, emotionally and psychologically and how you can use foods and yoga moves to make changes in your life.
And...
  • Classes are one-hour duration, so you can fit it into your busy schedule. Lunch classes are 45 minutes.
  • Most classes are done lying down, sitting up and sometimes standing, but you will still be challenged.
  • There is no flexibility required.
  • Safe, down-to-earth, non-competitive and friendly environment.

About Janie

Janie has been personal training for 18 years both in Sydney and New York City. She has been teaching yoga for the last 12 years and is now running her third yoga teacher training program.

Janie's clients range from the ages of 7–90 years of age and visit from London, Los Angeles, New York and Thailand. Janie has trained many high profile celebrities both in Australia and New York City (including Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, Collette Dinnigan, Charlie Brown and Natalie Imbruglia). She is regularly written about in Vogue, Cleo and Body+Soul and was a contributing writer to Susie Elelman’s new book "Half My Size – The Thinking Person’s Diet" (New Holland).

She also appeared in 4 episodes of Channel 9's 'Fresh' cooking and demonstrating yoga. She is also the one of the 4 faces of John McGrath’s Oxygen Home Loans and has written articles for Body+Soul, Sunday Telegraph.
