Pranayama Chronic stress Stress Management Life path Wellness Purpose

The aim of the studio is to create a safe and well equipped space, where students are empowered to use the tools of yoga to explore personal challenges, identify issues and move toward wellness and balanced life. Classes are small to better address and support individual health needs. The studio offers classes to suite beginning, as well as level 1 and 2 students.

In addition, Vicki offers private sessions and specializes in Yoga Therapy, with a an additional qualification in Yoga Therapy. Although she has practiced yoga for 10 years, Salisbury came to teaching it later in life. A major turning point was her 59th birthday when she committed to taking back her personal power. Through Yoga she gained more control of her own physical and mental health and re-examined her life’s purpose.

Vicki reinvented herself that year by losing 32 kilos and completing a yoga teaching qualification. Committing to a daily yoga asana practice and focusing on the study of yoga theory enhanced the quality of her health and propelled her on a new life path of teaching.

Salisbury has experienced the power of Yoga to better manage food addictions. Using asana (postures), pranayama (breath) and meditation to loosen the physical and psychological knots that unwittingly bind to self-sabotaging choices, reoccurring patterns and chronic stress.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is a four session series over a period of four to eight weeks. Yoga Therapy will address issues that traditional group classes and private sessions cannot. As a Yoga Therapist, I am a specialist with additional qualifications in how to use the broad spectrum of tools to assess and support the client’s condition at multiple levels.

In the first session the client is evaluated, which sets the tone for the work that lies ahead. This comprehensive and confidential assessment includes range of motion, health history, personal background, and goals for the sessions. Clients will leave the first session with a series of specific techniques in breath, physical movement, sound and sometimes mudras and meditation practices to assist their healing. We will agree to how often you will practice with follow-up contact to see how you are going and any adjustments needed before meeting again at next session.

Yoga Therapist sessions focus on holistic healing rather than specific poses or positions, understanding that there are all kinds of ways to accomplish that end, to support you create healthy new patterns and take charge of your own well being.

The aim is to encourage client’s to commit to their own personal practice and support them to connect with deepest sources of inspiration. Clients are empowered to be active participants in their own health care.
