About The Nutritional Therapy Association

A holistic perspective.

Our philosophy is that the myriad of health problems plaguing modern society result from weaknesses in the body's physiological foundations brought on by poor nutrition. We focus on food that the human body has evolved to consume.
The Nutritional Therapy Association

The NTA was incorporated as a vocational nutrition school in Olympia, Washington, USA in 1997 with the primary goal of training health care practitioners in the practice of Nutritional Therapy. Originally a program designed for licensed medical practitioners, the NTA trained thousands of medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists and naturopaths throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

The NTA was encouraged to make this unique nutritional training available to a wider audience, and today has trained more than 6500 Nutritional Therapy Practitioners from all over the world.
International Nutritional Therapist training programs are supported by seminars, educational publications and material. The NTA offers both general and professional membership.
The National Association of Nutritional Professionals (NANP) (USA) includes NTA's Nutritional Therapist Training Program in their Approved and Recommended Holistic Nutrition Education Programs. NTA is also a Cornerstone Member of the American Nutrition Association.

The Nutritional Therapy Association Vision

NTA is recognised as one of the driving forces fundamentally altering humankind's healthcare.

NTA Values

Whether in the office, classroom, or kitchen, the NTA team lives by the following core values day in and day out:

EMBRACING BIOINDIVIDUALITY.

We each bring unique strengths to the table, and are encouraged to be our authentic selves and invest our best in all we do.

DOING GOOD IN THE WORLD.

We strive to make the world a better place through education, inspiration, and service.

HAVING EACH OTHER'S BACKS.

We look out for each other, put the needs of the team before our own, and are always willing to ask for help when we need it.

LEARNING & IMPROVING EVERY DAY.

We are nerds and proud of it. We constantly seek to expand our knowledge and skills and share what we've learned with the team.

PRACTICING THE PARADIGM.

We practice what we preach, honoring ancestral wisdom, focusing on The Foundations, and enjoying real food.

ENJOYING THE JOURNEY.

We take our work seriously but make sure to have fun along the way, celebrate successes, and follow our bliss.

GIVING LOTS OF DAMNS.

We care deeply about each other, our students, and our planet, and are motivated more by mission than money.

The Nutritional Therapy Association Mission

Empowering Individuals

We provide students with actionable knowledge and evaluative tools to transform their health, families, communities and careers.

Cultivating a Tribe

From classes to conferences, to meetups, we provide a supportive place for the tribe to learn, connect and be themselves.

Healing the World
