SERVICES

Welcome to One natural therapies

Naturopathy and Acupuncture

Your initial consultation is 1-1.5hr, and involves an in depth inquiry of your:

  • Presenting symptoms (When it started, how long, sensation, how your life is influenced etc),
  • Past history of any illness
  • Family history of any serious illness
  • Current medications/ supplements
  • System review - Kidneys, reproduction, cardiovascular, respiratory, GIT, bowels, musculoskeletal, Skin.
  • Lifestyle
  • Diet
Physical examination may include assessment of your iris (iridology), fingernails and even your tongue (all give clues as to your overall condition). It would be ideal if you have had any tests/x-rays etc done to bring them with you.

A unique lifestyle and nutrition plan for you

The outcome is your treatment plan, which may include specific lifestyle and/or nutritional changes (only those that you are realistically ready to make), herbs and/or supplements. We use as minimal intervention as possible - merely supporting the body to do what it does best - restore balance.

Hypnobirthing

Childbirth Education for a safer, easier, more comfortable birth

The method teaches that, in the absence of stress hormones caused by fear, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labor.

In this calm state, your body's natural relaxant, endorphins, actually act to relieve pain.

You will gain an understanding of how the birthing muscles work in perfect harmony-as they were designed to-when your body is sufficiently relaxed and you trust birth. You will learn how to achieve this kind of relaxation, free of the resistance that fear creates, and you will learn to use your natural birthing instincts for a calm, serene and comfortable birth.

Yoga at your own pace

Yoga at One has now been running 5 years. We presently offer two lunchtime classes Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-1:45pm. Classes are purchased as a 10-class pass for $130 to be used within 12 weeks.

We encourage you to rest when you need to, challenge when you feel to and to recognise the difference by listening and respecting your body. Each class begins with a brief focusing meditation, includes both strengthening and stretching, and finishes with relaxation. Classes often include partner exercises and clothed massage. You are encouraged at One to find your own way and above all else, to enjoy yourself.

The environment at One is supportive, encouraging and enthusiastic. Please enrol early to ensure your place.
