Chronic Renal Failure


Chronic renal failure is a slow decline in the function of the kidneys over time. It usually results from some form of disease. Some symptoms of chronic renal failure include weight loss, nausea/vomiting, feeling unwell, fatigue, headache, generalized itching, change in urine output, excessive thirst, and nail abnormalities. Treatment options include controlling the associated diseases, dialysis, kidney transplants, monitoring food and liquid intake, medication, and quitting smoking.
