Epilepsy
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that results in recurring, unprovoked seizures. There are two broad types of seizures – generalized and partial. Symptoms of epilepsy include unconsciousness, muscle stiffness, jerking movements, loss of muscle tone, sporadic jerking, unusual sensations affecting the senses, and automatisms. Epilepsy treatments include medication, and surgery. Other treatment options should always be used in conjunction with conventional medicine and include a ketogenic diet, acupuncture, relaxation therapies, and biofeedback.
