Stomach Ache

A stomach ache is an ache in the stomach or abdominal region. It can be acute (sudden) or chronic, and can be minor or reflect a greater problem within the body. Some of the possible causes include constipation, a flu or infection, colitis, diverticulitis, endometriosis, gas, hernia, inflammatory bowel disease or other bowel problems, lactose intolerance, or food poisoning. Depending on what the specific cause is, treatment options may include medication, surgery, nutritional therapy, herbal therapy, homoeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and acupressure.
