Gua Sha

Gua Sha is conducted through the scraping of a smooth edge instrument either a spoon, horn, coin, honed animal bone, or even the fingernail. The tool is scraped along the surface of the skin releasing the Sha from the body. Marking is usually left behind as this can at times be quite a deep process.

In TCM Gua Sha can help with:

    • Reducing fever, the technique is commonly used to draw fevers out especially for common colds

    • Fatigue

    • Digestive Disorders

    • Stiffness, Pain, Immobility

    • Gynaecological problems

    • Muscle and tendon injuries

    • Headaches

    • Sluggish circulation
