Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a kind of heat therapy that sees the burning of dried leaves of Artemisia plant, also known as Wormwood plant. The leaves are processed into wool and the moxa wool is rolled into sticks, left as wool or cones. There a different kinds of moxibustion, however, the most popular kind involves the burning of the mugwort which is then moved around specific areas of the body to enhance circulation and improve the flow of Qi in those areas.

Who needs it?

The heating of the mugwort is amazing for people who have stagnation or cold conditions:

    • Back pain were the back feels cold either subjectively or objectively.

    • Turning breech births

    • Bruises

    • Gynaecological problems due to cold
