Debra is extremely passionate about engaging in creativity.. Along her own healing journey, art has provided her with an improved sense of self understanding and the unfolding of many parts of her own unconscious self have added depth and greater meaning to her life. She enjoys the process of helping others to do the same.
She provides private Transpersonal Art Therapy sessions through her business ‘Art and You’ and helps clients to heal, explore and regain a sense of self by reclaiming aspects they may feel are lost to them.
Debra has a lot of experience, having worked at Lifeline as a counsellor, worked with people with eating disorders at the Butterfly Foundation and apart from the work she does in her own private practise, also teaching Transpersonal Art Therapy at the College of Complementary Medicine.
Debra views life as a creative poetic puzzle, mostly shaped by our formative years. Creativity then gives us the opportunity to bring forward those areas which do not serve us and work creatively with them, not as a negative, but as a stepping stone to better understanding of self.
Debra enjoys holding the space, whilst she enables and empowers her clients and students with skills and processes that allow them to start slotting new and old pieces into place, regaining a sense of wholeness and well-being.
