Christine Stewart has been in clinical practice for 27 years. Christine's focus is to bring the body back into balance using remedial, sports, deep tissue masssage therapy, pregnancy massage, trigger points, hot stones, cupping, myofascial dry needling, touch for health, bowen technique, emmett technique, reiki.
Christine is very sensitive to energy and works intuitively to get the best results for her clients.
Christine uses gliding or stationary suction cups during her treatments when needed.
The benefits of cupping are as follows:
Cupping can relieve stagnation of qi and blood in areas that chronically "hold" pain, like old injury sites, areas around surgical scars or areas of occupational overuse.
Gliding cups feel great along the large muscles of the back, bringing warmth and relaxation to the area. Other areas such as arms and legs benefit greatly as knots just seem to melt away under the cups.
Cup marks can occur and the colour of the marks will vary from a light pink to a dark purple but is usually a shade of red. These marks are NOT bruises as a lot of people mistakenly think. These are all results of toxins and stagnations being removed from deep within the tissues.
The marks usually fade within a day or two depending on the level of circulation of blood in each patients system and the ability of their body to remove the waste products that rise to the skin surface.
Dry needling can loosen stiff muscles, ease joint pain, improve blood flow and oxygen circulation within the body.
It is very effective in treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions that cause pain and /or hinder mobility and is suitable for treating a number of musculoskeletal dysfunctions such as:
