Aligned Living offers Equine Assisted Learning to individuals, groups and businesses.

Aligned Living

Equine Assisted Learning is where you get to chill with a horse and learn some life lessons at the same time. Grab hold of this catalyst for personal growth! Embark on the adventure of a lifetime and have an experience with a horse that will take you to the next level. With a trained, caring facilitator you will have a session tailored to your specific goals for maximum growth in your relationships or career.

Aligned Living operates in partnership with horse owners who are supportive of our work. We don't have our own horses, but travel to others who do have horses and work from their properties. If you have a horse you think might be suitable for this work and would like to partner with us, please contact us. Currently our main place of operation is in Mariginiup.

Our Vision

Support local communities to work together effectively to create harmony, joy and a sustainable future for all.

Aligned Living provides a safe space for clients to apply their new knowledge and try out new ways of being. When clients leave, they have new experiences which support the change they desire and help to make the difference long-lasting.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a safe place for individuals to experience love, joy and peace – equipping them to live life to the fullest in a world of challenges.

Aligned Living believes that there is a way to live which brings joy, peace and love to life. Our aim is to educate people through the power of horses about how they too can live in a way that aligns with life rather than fights against it.

I am a trained professional in the fields of mentoring, coaching, and personal leadership and I have over 14 years of experience with horses. I have volunteered as a mentor for 7 years and also as a facilitator for a non-profit organisation focussed on healing families and individuals. I work part time for a non-profit organisation called YouthCARE when I am not working for Aligned Living.

I am passionate about supporting people to be the best they can possibly be, with a considerate and respectful attitude towards the needs of both client and horse.

I never stop learning and I believe that every client will assist me on my own journey of personal growth. We work together as a team, figuring out what works best for us. Being in relationship with horses has been a catalyst for all kinds of personal growth for me. Now I want to provide a safe environment to share with others what has been of so much value to me.

Equine Assisted Learning is where people learn from interacting with horses, guided by a trained and qualified practitioner.

A practitioner and one or more clients meet together in a space with one or more horses with a view of pursuing personal awareness, growth, and learning. Clients may have a specific goal in mind, or be open to whatever comes up for them on the day. The practitioner will offer clients a relational experience with the horse/s.

The experience may involve doing something with the horse/s or just simply being with them. When ready, clients discuss their experience with their practitioner who assists in drawing out learning objectives. This type of learning is very powerful as it is based on a client’s lived experience rather than just talking about something.

Activities will be variations of the following:

  • Riding

  • Leading

  • Grooming

  • Observing

  • Meet the horse/s

  • Obstacle Challenge

  • Simply be with a horse
