Myofascial dry needling involves the direct insertion of an acupuncture needle into a trigger point. The trigger point is an area of hyperirritability within a muscle. The needle enters the trigger point which is then deactivated by manipulating the needle.

Akikos introduction to massage therapy was as a patient, experiencing chronic shoulder and neck stiffness that led to ongoing headaches. Regular massaging opened her eyes to the potential of the health benefits of massage on both body and mind.
Akiko went on to study remedial massage and is an advocate for its ability to enhance quality of both life and body. She welcomes the opportunity to further her knowledge by treating clients with a range of different bodies and conditions. Akiko combines myofascial cupping with a range of remedial massage techniques based on her individual client's needs and is also a certified pregnancy massage practitioner.
