One way to think about cupping is that it is the inverse of massage. Rather than applying pressure to muscles, the suction uses pressure to pull skin, tissue and muscles upward.

Healing In Time - Cupping

Focus areas

Fears Anxiety Emotions Grief Stress Management Poor circulation

The aim of cupping is to improve circulation, help with the relief of pain, remove “heat” and pull out the toxins that linger in your body’s tissues. This then removes blockages or removes obstructions to the flow of “chi” or life force in the body.

Moving/Gliding Cupping (Western):

Your practitioner applies massage cream or oil on your skin in specific places, puts the cups over the areas of the skin and then they are slid around that entire region.

Fixed Cupping (Eastern):

The cups are placed on a selected area of your body and then they are left in place without having to be taken off.

Cupping can be highly beneficial for:

  • Headaches & Migraines

  • Muscular Aches

  • Inflammation

  • Neck & Shoulder

  • Tight Muscles

  • Poor Circulation

  • Anxiety & Stress
