Naturopathy is an holistic approach to wellness where an individual’s physical, emotional and mental health is taken into account to achieve optimal health and vitality.
Naturopaths’ hold the belief that the body has the innate ability to heal itself, given the right tools, whether this be by dietary and lifestyle modification, herbal medicine and/or nutritional supplementation.
A naturopath aims to investigate the root causes of one’s symptoms, with the aid of functional and traditional laboratory investigations and extensive case-taking, to ultimately formulate an effective treatment plan.
Magdalene completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) in Melbourne. During her final year at university she undertook an extensive research project, investigating the use of the herbal medicine, kava, in cases of anxiety. This work greatly underpinned her interest in stress, anxiety, insomnia and adrenal disorders.
Since graduating, Magdalene has helped patients with a variety of conditions and apart from her experience in stress and anxiety, she also holds a special interest in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, such as hypertension and metabolic syndrome.
Magdalene keeps up to date with the latest scientific research, which she incorporates into her treatments, whilst upholding traditional naturopathic philosophies and principles.
She greatly enjoys working together in a team approach with her patients and believes education is the foundation to the beginnings of good health.
