Key Counselling Services specialises in individualised therapy that shows genuine care, support, and empathy while offering clients a genuine sense of belonging.
Melisa provides counselling services to individuals of all ages, including young children, adolescents, and adults.
Her key areas of expertise are person-centred counselling, cognitive behaviour therapy, trauma counselling, psychodynamic approach, and mindfulness.
She has a particular interest in working with indigenous people and she is committed to providing culturally appropriate services to minimise any barriers to counselling support for Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders.
She empowered Kinship carers to provide support to indigenous children who have experienced trauma, displayed challenging behaviour, and exhibited attachment disorders.
She strongly believes the solution lies within each person to their own issues, and that her role as a facilitator is to encourage clients to find their own solutions to problems.

Services Offered
Individual Counselling
Counselling and anger management
$110 per session
The practise offers comfortable rooms to suit individual counselling, art and sand play therapeutic work and groups.
Melissa uses art as an expressive and therapeutic tool and is pursuing a degree in art therapy.
Christian counselling is also available to clients who prefer faith-based counselling.
Besides her work with the local counselling service, Melissa worked as a Specialist Counsellor providing counselling and capacity building support to children, youth and adults, including NDIS and Child Safe clients.
Group Counselling
$130 per session
Melisa offers counselling services for couples, marriages, and families as well as group sessions for anger management, coping with anxiety, depression and building self-esteem.
