Which Massage Treatment Is Right For Your Needs?

Hawaiian Massage:
A Hawaiian massage utilises a flowing technique using long continuous, flowing strokes, combined with the very tender touch. This type of massage relaxes the entire body which assists in letting go of old beliefs, patterns and behaviours that cause limitations and which are stored in the cells of our body. The Hawaiian massage is fluid, with rhythmic motion using the forearms as well as the hands. Some people have described this as feeling like gentle waves moving over the body.

Indian Head Massage:
An Indian Head Massage, is a form of relaxation massage that focuses on the face, head, neck, shoulders, upper back and upper arms. These areas are where the energy centres within the body. This type of massage is very relaxing and has a harmonising effect on the receiver of the massage. It helps the person who receiving the massage to discharge stress and tension.

Infant Massage:
Infant massage is the process of gentle rubbing an infant's muscles and caressing the infant in a manner specifically designed for them. There are a number of professionally trained and certified infant massage therapists available.

Oncology Massage:
An Oncology massage refers to a massage treatment tailored to the needs of individuals with cancer. This specialised practice requires therapists to be fully educated in and pay close attention to the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of clients in all stages of cancer.

Pregnancy Massage:
Pregnancy massage is a term used for any hands-on massage during or after pregnancy (prenatal or postnatal massage). A pregnancy massage typically lasts an hour, with some practitioners even using a pregnancy massage table to make the experience more enjoyable.

Stone Therapy Massage:
A stone massage uses smooth, flat, and heated rocks placed at key points on the body. Stones are placed into an electric slow-cooker or a purpose-built device which is filled with water which reheats the stones to the correct temperature.

Swedish / Relaxation Massage:
One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.

Thai Massage:
The massage therapist uses their weight and carefully balances to lean on the recipient's body using hands and usually straight forearms locked at the elbow to apply firm rhythmic pressure. The massage generally follows designated lines in the body. Legs and feet of the massage therapist are sometime used. In other positions, hands fixate the body, while the feet do the massaging action.
