About Maggie
After 30 years working in mental health and private practice as a couple therapist, Maggie now specialises in offering unique, small group Retreats in stunning natural locations that combine mindfulness with other evidence-based transformative work. She is registered to teach: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction; Mindful Self Compassion; Positive Neuro-plasticity; and Brené Brown's Daring Way and Rising Strong programs. Maggie also lectures at Swinburne University in the Masters of Counselling stream.
Maggie is passionate about mindfulness and the related neuro-science that suggest that – because our tricky mammal brains are hardwired for survival, not ease – we need to both understand and actually “practice” what it is that allows us to live with more joy and wellbeing.
