Talitha is a compassionate, empathetic and motivated clinical hypnotherapist and nutritionist. She holds a degree in nutritional medicine and diploma in hypnotic science. She holds qualifications as an acceptance and commitment therapy counsellor (ACT) and NLP practitioner and is a registered and trained practitioner with ‘the Australian centre for eating disorders.’
She works in private practice combining her professional modalities in Bentleigh, Melbourne. Her area of speciality is helping men and woman with emotional eating habits, free themselves from a life controlled by reactive and addictive impulse eating. She helps her clients overcome depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma which is often at the heart of disordered eating and food addictions.
She firmly believes everybody has the ability to regain health and wellbeing through a whole-food diet, active lifestyle and mind-body balance. Talitha seeks, through her practice and treatments, to re-connect clients to their own inner wisdom and vitality.
The Disordered Eating Treatment Program
The Disordered Eating Treatment Program (D.E.T.P) is designed to create inner awareness around emotional eating habits and educate from a psychological and physiological perspective. I do this by combining the modalities of nutritional medicine, counselling / life coaching and clinical hypnotherapy to offer a completely balanced and comprehensive approach and a mind-body solution to your ongoing struggle with food. D.E.T.P will educate you on the psychological origin of your emotional eating habits. It will also explain the physiological and neurochemical dependences that result from long standing emotional eating patterns and how this cycle keeps you addicted to food.
We work together to create awareness of the reactive and addictive rollercoaster of emotional eating. You will learn new skills through mindfulness exercises that will enable you to find inner peace and self-awareness, freeing you from the destructive psychological nature of emotional impulsive eating. The aim is that at the completion of D.E.T.P you will gain a new and empowered sense of self awareness. You will have an understanding of what has been really driving your emotional eating and how to take control and create lasting healthy change. You will feel confident, happy and aware of your own value and self-worth and that you will start to cultivate a healthy relationship with food and your body.
