Jennie Lane is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and has developed a thriving practice on the Northern Beaches that has been in operation for over a decade. Back in 2012 Jennie combined 3 practice locations to newer rooms in Brookvale where she works with both individuals and families. Jennie has a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, malnutrition, weight management, disordered eating, food intolerances, sports nutrition, and family health.
As a Dietitian Jennie has expertise translating scientific information into personalised, easy to follow advice. She loves seeing her clients re-establish control over their own wellbeing and health, feel happier, more energised and able to get the most out of their lives.
Throughout her year’s of practice Jennie has developed a keen interest in the area of psychology relating to food, why we eat what we eat. Using non-dieting approaches and mindfulness throughout coaching sessions has helped many clients to free themselves from food rules and learn to trust their intuition. Putting food back in perspective and not something that you have to fear, enabling you to live a balanced, healthy, and fulfilling life.
Initial consultation: 60 mins
During the initial assessment I will ask a series of questions to get to know you as a whole person. We will discuss your goals, lifestyle, activity levels, medical history and current eating pattern. It is your opportunity to have your questions answered and together we will create a individualized plan to meet your needs.
Your referral and any relevant blood tests results from your GP. You could also write a list of questions and think about what you’d like to achieve. If your goals are not clear, having an open mind is all that’s needed. Please note a referral is not required to see a Dietitian unless claiming with a GP management plan.
Review consultation: 30 – 45 mins
We will review your progress, identify what has been working for you, answer any questions, further your knowledge and develop strategies to help with any challenges.
This will be discussed during your initial consultation. There are no set rules however when establishing a new routine, I recommend fortnightly sessions to support change and create new habits. Frequency of visits can be spaced to suit your needs.
