Situated in Canterbury, Victoria, Oak Tree Osteopathy’s amazing shopfront is hard to miss. Founded by Dr Lauren Purdey in 2018, Oak Tree Osteopathy was established with the goal of offering caring hands-on care in a relaxed and compassionate environment.

With more than 45 years of combined clinical experience, the team of practitioners at Oak Tree Osteopathy firmly believes that our clients deserve the very best care, and we go the extra mile to ensure that you always feel welcome and relaxed. From children to the elderly and everyone in between, our passionate team of practitioners have the knowledge, resources, and skills to manage and treat the health needs of your family.

Full price for an initial osteopathic consult is $120.00 (up to 1 hour). Full price with this offer is $60.00, which will be paid by Visa, MasterCard, or cash at the time of your consult.

Private rebates from health funds are possible with extras cover for Osteopathy.

Patient consent will be obtained prior to any assessment or treatment performed.

An initial osteopathic consult will comprise the following:

1. A health questionnaire to be completed by the patient.

2. A thorough case history and examination performed by the osteopath, with the inclusion of osteopathic/ orthopaedic/neurological testing as indicated.

3. If treatment is indicated, one or more of the following techniques may be performed by the osteopath with patient consent:

soft tissue massage, articulation, muscle energy technique (MET), high velocity low amplitude manipulation (HVLA),

counterstrain, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, dry needling and myofascial cupping, stretching, functional release.

If after a thorough case history and examination the patient is not a candidate for osteopathic treatment, the patient may be referred for appropriate care to a relevant healthcare professional.
