Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy helps to boost general well-being, reduce stress, improve quality of sleep, increase energy and enhance the functioning of all the body's organs. It is a non-intrusive therapy that works with the entire structure, physiology, mind and spirit.
The Biodynamic Resonance approach is without force, suggestion or manipulation it is therefore deeply respectful and suitable for people of all ages, from babies to the elderly, during pregnancy and even where there are fragile or acutely painful conditions, or after an operation or accident.
During a Treatment
» Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy takes a whole-person approach to health and one where the inter-connectedness of mind, body and spirit are deeply acknowledged.
» During treatment, which may last for an hour for adults, you will be asked to lie on a treatment table fully clothed with pillows and blanket as needed.
» Small children will often play or have a story read to them while the treatment takes place.
» A baby may be held by a parent or relative or may be happy to be held by the therapist or lie on the treatment table.
» The therapist’s light hand contact may most commonly be at your head, feet, spine, sacrum at the base of the spine or at your shoulders.
» In biodynamic resonance work the therapist does not manipulate or adjust bones or tissue.
» It may be hard to believe that the body can heal itself from major issues other than cuts, bruises and breaks.
» The body is always working towards wellness and this is where the biodynamic approach comes in.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapists
» Biodynamic Craniosacral therapists are trained to feel the subtle motions of the whole body through their hands and use this contact to reflectively observe the health of the body.
» Rather than looking for the outside cure, the therapist supports you to work with the wisdom in your body. It is body-mind-energy therapy. Some call it ‘body psychology’.
» The therapist’s role is to create an environment of safety, mindful presence, stillness and a quality of reflective listening that supports your body to remember its original blueprint.
» The body self-organises, rebalances and self-heals, held tissue memory is resolved and you have taken another step to healing your life.
