Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a type of ancient eastern medicine dating back thousands of years and due to its effectiveness has in more recent years been adopted by the west. This includes utilising various diverse methods, for example, cupping, needling and moxa over acupuncture points on the body to stimulate the body’s immune system and improve circulation to enhance healing and to restore balance back to the body.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine, similar to acupuncture has been practiced for many thousands of years.

When referring to “herbs” this implies diverse parts of plants including bark, roots, flowers as well as minerals. Traditionally different insects and animal parts have been utilised as a part of CHM but we do not use any animal products in our formulas at the Gentle Dragon.

CHM qualities lie not just in the dynamic elements of the individual herbs yet in the synergistic impact of a formula (more often than not a blend of 6-12 herbs) which attempts to treat different health imbalances.
