Chronic Pain

Chronic pain may be defined as a pain that ranges from mild to severe but is present for long periods of time – from months to years. Chronic pain has many causes such as injury, infections, illnesses such as cancer, arthritis, and nerve damage. Treatment for chronic pain includes medication, acupuncture, physical therapy, mind-body therapies such as hypnosis and meditation, massage, chiropractic, herbal medicine, and Reiki.
