Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is one of the most complex mental disorders. In the active phase, it involves delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thoughts and speech, apathy, and catatonic or disorganized behaviour. Symptoms of schizophrenia include changes in thinking, mood, behaviour, social and physical changes, and changes in functioning. Treatment includes neuroleptic medication, psychosocial therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, and counseling.
