Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder, also called “Adhesive Capsulitis”, is a condition where the shoulder’s range of movement is severely limited and causes great pain. It may occur as a result of injury, if the shoulder has been immobilized for a period of time, and it has been known to occur more frequently in patients with conditions such as diabetes, thyroid problems and cardiac problems. Treatments for frozen shoulder include the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), surgery, physiotherapy, osteopathy, heat compresses, massage, supplements such as glucosamine, myofascial release therapy, and Prolotherapy.
