WELCOME TO AQUAPHYS!
AquaPhys is a Physiotherapy practice located in Revesby, which specialises in both Hydrotherapy treatment and the provision of Work Related Activity/Gym Programs.
At AquaPhys, it’s all about you, the patient. We pride ourselves on getting to know you, your injury and how it affects your life. Coping with an injury can be tiring, stressful and down right inconvenient — leaving you little time to do what you do best.
THAT’S WHY WE OFFER YOU:
- Individualised assessment and treatment — you are treated individually and not in a group class.
- Personalised exercise program — you are given exercises specific to your injury.
- A solution to your problems — so you can get back to your normal life quicker.
- Expert help and advice — our staff are here to assist you when you need it, both during and after treatment.
PRINCIPAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST, EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
Belinda Sidrak commenced her professional education in 1996, undertaking a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise and Sport Science. Her true passion however, lied with the profession of Physiotherapy. So after completing her Sport Science degree, she then went on to study a four year Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy. With all that study out of the way, she began working in the public sector. Gaining valuable experience at one of Sydney’s largest teaching and diagnostic hospitals, working with an extensive range of patients including Aged Care, Neurological, Orthopaedics, Trauma and Musculoskeletal.
Moving into the private sector, Belinda worked alongside other highly credential and respected Physiotherapists, where she gained further knowledge and experience. It was at this time that she developed an interest in Aquatic Physiotherapy and went on to complete training in Hydrotherapy for Physiotherapists, where she has since worked in in this field.
THE BIRTH OF AQUAPHYS
AquaPhys was born in 2006. Belinda wanted to offer a service to the people of Bankstown, that she felt was lacking. Not only were there few Physiotherapists who actually practised Hydrotherapy, but there were fewer who provided one on one, hands on treatment with the client. It is Belinda’s true passion as a Physiotherapist, to make a difference to her patient’s life, so that they can get back to doing what they do best! Combining her background in both Exercise Science and Physiotherapy, Belinda has the skills to deliver the complete package and the enthusiasm to motivate.
THE IMPORTANT STUFF
Belinda is compliant with all professional requirements. She is registered with the Australian Health Practioner Regulation Agency (PY0129180) and WorkCover Australia (3801). Belinda has attained a Senior First Aid Certificate (St John Ambulance Australia) and is aware of safety and emergency techniques in the pool environment.
Belinda is committed to expanding her knowledge regularly through continued professional development.
