What is Oncology Massage?

Oncology massage training teaches the scientific and emotional aspects of working with clients who have cancer or a history of cancer or any other life changing illness. The techniques tend to differ from standard massage techniques. Pressure and pace are adjusted for each person to ensure comfort. Treatment focuses on therapeutic touch mostly comprising gentle, light, stroking techniques for relaxation, stress relief and pain reduction.
