Currently (22.2.'24 I am away for four weeks, please give me a call for our start date. New to dance and beginners welcome.

Ladies dance exercise class, follow the instructor style, fun, social easy. Get fit and have fun. Seniors, suits 40yrs ++++. Classes continue during the school holidays. Enjoy dances from Sth America, Cha Cha, Bassanova, line dance, Charleston, choreographed routines, Egyptian street dance and more! No dancing experience or partner needed. Keep fit, meet new friends, it's time to dance, put on your sneakers, bring a smile!

Held at: Blue Gum Recreation Centre, Moolyeen Road, Brentwood (next to the tennis courts)

Wear comfortable clothing, sneakers/runners, a mat/towel for the floor, for light stretching and relaxation at the end of the class.

Through Dance, grow Younger! for Girls who 'wanna have fun'!

Dancing and whole of body movement is one of the best exercises you can do for your brain and body.  There is plenty of recent research to support this.  Good music can help us feel younger,  and moving to the beat, be it fast, slow, rhythmic, can make exercising easy, the time flies. When it is time for our stretch and relax as the class concludes I hear participants say, 'Is it that time already?'

If you can walk at a reasonable pace you should find the level of activity suitable. You do not have to learn dances by heart, that is my job! ....  just 'follow along' style.

Keen to try something new, have you always wanted to dance or dance more, want to exercise in a friendly atmosphere, keen to get out of the house and meet new friends, would like a ladies only dance class?   Increase your fitness, strengthen your back, knees ankles and hips, strengthen for osteoperosis prevention or maintenance, energise the mind   .....  Let's get Dancing!

Qualifications

I have taught fitness classes in the community for 35yrs. 
During the 90's I taught Aerobics at Murdoch Uni. and in Newman.
I have UWA fitness leaders certification.
All my classes have been danced based. 
I did not learn dancing growing up. I began dancing lessons in my 30's and discovered that I had a passion for dance, starting with ballroom then rock 'n roll, Lindy hop, Sth American styles, Samba, Salsa, Merengue, Charleston, Cha Cha, Danish and American folk, Egyptian street dance, Bellydancing, Bollywood, easy hip hop, Line dancing ...

I love sharing dance. I modify some dances to suit the age group while maintaining the essence of the style, others are taught exactly as I have been instructed and I choreograph routines for easy, follow-along and Fun!

I teach Hatha Yoga.
Qualified through FINY.
Completed Yoga Anatomy and physiology with YogaAnatomy and Yoga therapy with YogaSynergy.
