There seems to be an epidemic of an illness called “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” in the community. It can effect both young and old, although usually younger people present as most susceptible.
What is the common symptomology of CFS?
It is a lasting fatigue that reduces a person’s activities to -50% and is often accompanied by general body pain.
“Chronic Fatigue (also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) is characterized by severe muscular fatigue on exertion, also known as ME.” It is usually an onset after an infection which never completely goes away, resulting in prolonged general fatigue, depression, headaches, nausea, and frequent infections.”
(Encyclopedia of Family Health)
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is now genereally accepted to be not a psychiatric illness, but a physical condition triggered by a virus, usually a Herpes virus (EBV, CMV and HHH-6).
"The proposed mechanism...begins with the infection, but there is a lack of immune nutrients to fight the infection, and it moves in to an unresolved, chronic phase" relates Dr Andy Barrie (non-medical practitioner), Fulda, Switzerland.
Nutrients are blocked so their uptake is further compromised.
The World Health Organization classifies ME/CFS as a neurological disorder linked to infectious agents such as Herpes viruses, Ross River virus, Q fever, Lyme disease and exposure to toxic chemicals such as pesticides.
It is important to also examine other conditions of the person’s life to rule out other factors that might be producing the fatigue other than CFS.
The Syndrom of Chronic Fatigue develops via the following way:
The conditions compromise the IMMUNE SYSTEM leading to a Low Antioxidant Status, and a heightened susceptibility to illness.
Presenting issues become more pronounced:
THERE ARE KEY STRAINS of INFECTIONS LEADING TO CFS
On the first intake session, we begin the discrimination of what allergens/parasites/infections/environmental factors etc, are causing the patient's health problems, intolerances and allergic reactions. A set of questions, past history, recent health presentations and current issues are filtered to determine the next step.
The patient is then tested bioenergetically for allergens and stressors in the body. Common culprits like Wheat, Gluten, Milk, Soy, Lecithin, among possible hundreds of others substances are tested against to see if the body has any reactions to them. Pancreas and Liver meridians are also checked as a matter of course.
Natural Medicine at The Tower Clinic uses several enquiry and testing models: ancient, oriental, and electronic testing plus treatment.
The patient is treated over several sessions until there is no reaction in the body to the residual allergens or stressors that are causing the body hypersensitively to react causing much distress sometimes over years. Each session lasts about one hour. The first session takes 90 minutes and includes 1. consultation, 2. testing and 3. treament.
