A typical Relaxation Massage is about providing a full body treatment using massage techniques including the hands, forearms or elbows with long gliding strokes to achieve relaxation to the whole body.
An initial Relaxation Massage appointment is no longer than 60 minutes in duration.
You can expect a visit with a Relaxation Massage therapist to involve a collection of the your health history, a postural assessment to identify areas of tension in the body, a tissue health assessment via palpation followed by an application of a sequenced therapeutic/ relaxation massage to the entire body or treatment as requested.
Remedial Massage is all about providing relief. The healing power of touch is known to be universally effective not just in providing relief for physical pain and tension but, as a holistic therapy, it can also aid mental and emotional wellbeing.
You can expect a visit with a Remedial Massage Therapist to involve a short physical assessment and discussion of your treatment plan, focussed on uncovering the source of your complaint, followed by hands on treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow. Oil may be applied directly on the skin during treatment to ensure the muscles being treated are deeply penetrated using techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release and positional release.
Tui Na is a form of traditional Chinese massage techniques that are used in combination with other TCM to manage the presenting complaint.
An initial Tui Na appointment is no longer than 60 minutes in duration.
The course of management typically involves patient questioning, observation of the patient's tongue and palpation of the patient's pulse. Additional assessment approaches such as range of movement, blood pressure or employment of other allied healthcare assessment and imaging may also be required subject to the patients presenting complaint for the purpose of determining the aligned Chinese medicine diagnosis.
Treatment then follows and would typically involve the use of a combination of different Tui Na massage techniques. By treatment conclusion the Endeavour College of Natural Health extern will also provide a Chinese medicine prognosis for course of treatment required to manage the patients presenting complaint.
An Endeavour College of Natural Health subsequent consultations typically requires 30-45 minutes to complete. An abbreviated consultation process leads the students to confirm treatment results and query additional concerns. Treatment is then provided on the basis of prognosis and results.
Tui Na is generally performed with the client fully clothed. However, on occasion there may be need for the student to request a client some forms of restrictive clothing.
Children under 13 years of age $10 for all treatments.

Dispensed items and optional services are provided at an additional cost.
