During a hypnotherapy session, the practitioner will take your case history and talk about what you wish to change in your life. Then we will relax your mind, which we call a trance-like state in hypnotherapy, to make it receptive to positive suggestions.
You may be given a CD that contains a recording of what transpired during the session depending on the issue we addressed. During a trance, you remain conscious so you can't be forced to do things that are against your will. Also, you may come out of the trance anytime you want.
The number of sessions you need to attend will depend on the problem that you're working on. Quitting smoking would take three sessions, while chronic health conditions may require two or three sessions. After three sessions, you will receive a recording that provides lifetime support.
