These classes are open for all, women and men, from beginners to experienced.
In these times in which we are faced with unprecedented complexity and rapid rate of change, whatever our life situation many of us increasingly feel the necessity to consciously cultivate a sense of inner stillness, physical strength and balance, mental clarity and calm. We wish to connect with ourselves and others in a real and satisfying way and to live a life that is in alignment with who we feel ourselves to truly be.
Kundalini Yoga is a practice and technology that is ancient and yet custom made for our times. In fact, during his lifetime the Master of Kundalini Yoga in the West, Yogi Bhajan, gave us an abundance of knowledge and practices to help us live and face the current challenges of our lives with courage, grace and confidence. Interestingly, unlike in most other yoga lineages, there is no ascetic tradition in Kundalini Yoga in the West - that is, no tradition of leaving the ordinary life to practice yoga and meditation in isolation. Kundalini Yoga is a yoga for householders, for people living in the midst of busy lives with work and family. So it has to work and be effective and efficient. There is a wealth of teachings, exercises and meditations specially for women as the ones who carry forward generations, as well as specifically for men, as well as ultimately for us all on our journey through all the stages, phases and transitions of our human lives. In fact, this yoga is extremely beneficial in helping us move through all change feeling awake, open, flexible and curious.
This class is for anyone who wants to explore Kundalini Yoga. In class we practice kriyas (exercise sets) and meditations, and deep relaxation is also a part of each class. The class is suitable for all beginners to yoga and Kundalini Yoga.
