Longer term therapy approaches aim to address the 'big picture' of the individual, looking at past experiences, attachments, traumas, and purpose and meaning of life especially when suffering from Depression.

At some point in life, the question is raised 'What is the meaning of my life?' Maybe nothing has changed, however, the reason and joy for doing has been brought into question.  Maybe there has been a sudden change such as job loss, relationship breakdown or death of a loved one.

These areas seek to question 'Why am I here?' and may cause disruptions to the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health of the individual.

At these times, it may be beneficial to look back on life, look for patterns, look inward and seek to make meaning and purpose.

Therapy approaches such as Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Gestalt processes and Expressive Therapies are known to be helpful and are available to you at Your Life In Colour.
