Bloating, reflux, Crohn’s disease, medically diagnosed irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis can all benefit from naturopathic medicine. Food Issues & Intolerance
Do you suspect you or your child has an intolerance to a certain food? Different from a true allergy (such as anaphylaxis from eating shellfish), symptoms of an intolerance are delayed and can take upwards of 24 hours to manifest, making it hard to identify the cause. Your symptoms can often alert an experienced naturopath to the offending foods but it may be that we recommend a hair test to get a list of sensitivities. Chemical and environmental substances will also show up on a hair test.
Optimise Fertility
Naturally enhance your ability to conceive with natural medicine and tailored lifestyle changes. Many of the conditions that contribute to reduced fertility (polycystic ovarian syndrome, oestrogen excess, etc.) benefit from a naturopathic approach.

Preconception Care

A person’s health status is a major contributor to a healthy full term pregnancy, and a healthy child. The eggs and sperm that you conceive with are formed up to 100 days before conception. Urinary Indican Test
This is a quick test using a sample of urine that can indicate whether there is problem in the gut. When we eat protein we normally break it down into amino acids. If you have high levels of abnormal bacteria in your gut, then tryptophan, an amino acid, is poorly digested and excreted in your urine as a substance called indican. So the presence of indican in your sample lets us know we need to correct the digestive environment in order to correct digestive and immune problems. (Included in consult fee)
Bio-Compatibility Wellness System
This hair analysis test offers an in-depth examination of your current health status. This information forms the basis of your restorative programme that is easily integrated into your lifestyle - so it's easy to adopt and stick to. Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis
Tissue mineral analysis is a good indicator of the metabolic processes occurring within the cells (intracellular), hair can be collected more quickly and easily than blood, urine or any other tissue, it's more cost effective, and it provides information about substances entering the hair from the blood serum as well as from external sources, hair is invaluable in the assessment of toxic metal levels. APPOINTMENTS
After making your appointment, Geraldine will send you an introduction and information letter, health appraisal form, and check list so you don't forget information you want to discuss, and you have a plan you wish to follow when you leave.
During your initial appointment, Geraldine will take a full history of your personal health and lifestyle. Using this information as well as possibly taking readings of your blood pressure, weight, height, checking your zinc status, using the urinary Indican test and sending off any other tests you may require.
Appointments, after the initial face to face consult, can be conducted via telephone or Skype for those who live outside the local area, normal consultation fees apply.
Please allow approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours for your first appointment.

Subsequent Appointments - 30mins - 1 hour $65.00, Concession $55.00
