About the Clinic
Acupuncturist, Tony Bennett has an Acupuncture degree from the Victoria University of Technology. Tony practices a gentle Japanese style of acupuncture.
One of the benefits of acupuncture is that it is a drug-free alternative to treatment for pain and stress-related conditions. Treatment with Tony will begin with a diagnosis, followed by treatment with acupuncture and other techniques, if they are deemed desirable. These might include Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua Sha, Shiatsu and Tui Na therapies.
Tony's clinic has been purpose-built beside his house, about 5 minutes drive from Armidale's CBD. There is easy parking available and the entrance to the clinic is paved and level. Tony chose to build his clinic in this location away from the hustle and bustle to help give his clients the most relaxing, therapeutic experience possible. Both of the treatment rooms are air conditioned and comfortable, with quality furnishings.
Tony has been trading under the name of Armidale Acupuncture since August, 2013. He previously practiced under the name of Synergy Acupuncture - this was the name of his multi-practitioner clinic in Tweed Heads, which he ran from 1996 to 2007.
In addition to his degree in Acupuncture, Tony also has qualifications and experience in a variety of massage styles, sports medicine and clinical hypnotherapy. He has also worked as a teacher of acupuncture and oriental massage.
Tony practices Japanese Acupuncture, a centuries-old, gentle but potent style of acupuncture. Superfine, disposable needles, coupled with moxibustion are successful in the treatment of a variety of painful and chronic conditions. Most patients describe the treatment as very enjoyable and relaxing.
Tony places great emphasis on the idea that one needs to attend to all aspects of life to attain and maintain a state of perfect health. This applies to all things - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - he believes the secret to success is “all things in balance”.
When he's not working in the clinic, Tony can be found painting and riding his motorbike.
