Are you suffering in pain?
Are you suffering from muscle pain, swelling and/or inflammation? The team at Combined Therapies can help. Combined therapies is a pain-relief clinic based in Toogoom that’s headed by Kim Rogers, a therapist who has spent the last 15 years working in clinics throughout Queensland.
We have a special interest in providing treatments related to sports injuries, post-surgery, as well as neuropathic and chronic pain. To do this we use the physiokey: a state-of-the-art device that generates a highly variable impulse in order to send information through the body to the brain, which in turn modifies the impulse and sends the signal back. From there it stimulates the nervous system to activate its self-healing abilities – thereby providing pain relief.
The physiokey is a non-invasive neurostimulator and is used to reduce chronic and acute pain, improve blood circulation and facilitate restoration/improvement.
Patients throughout the Fraser Coast visit us because we’re professional, friendly and do everything possible to locate the source of pain and use tried-and-tested methods to relive it. Referrals are not necessary.
Pain that is resistant to medical treatment is chronic pain, also referred to as chronic pain syndrome. Chronic pain is generally defined as pain that lasts at least 12 weeks. While chronic pain cannot be cured, it can sometimes be managed. If medications do not help manage the pain, Physiokey electrical stimulation, biofeedback along with relaxtion techniques and behavior modification may also provide relief from pain.
